Travelling By Car

We are 20 mins from the end of the M1 or from the junction of the A40 with the A406 (North Circular).

From the end of the M1
 
Join A406 going southwards. Come off at A4088.
Keep straight on, though various types of junctions, for 10 minutes, until you enter Willesden High Road. Five mins along this turn right into St Andrews road, immediately after St Andrews Church, a big red brick building. At the end of St Andrews road you will see our Church, ahead of you to the right.
 
From the Junction of the A40 and A406
 
Join A406 going northwards, towards Brent Cross. Come off at about the fourth Junction, signposted for “Willesden”. Follow round under the North Circular, by taking first exit at roundabout, again signposted for Willesden.
Keep straight on, though various types of junctions, for 10 minutes, until you enter Willesden High Road. Five mins along this turn right into St Andrews road, immediately after St Andrews Church, a big red brick building. At the end of St Andrews road you will see our Church, ahead of you to the right.


Travelling by Public Transport

By Tube and then walk to the church
 
  • Travel on Jubilee Line to WILLESDEN GREEN. (a tip if you're coming fron Central London on the Metropolitan Line, the purple line, is that if you are on a train which is going to Finchley Road it is best to change to the Jubilee there rather than Baker Street)
  • Come out of the station and turn right and walk downhill along Walm Lane which ends at a traffic light, with Barclays Bank straight ahead. 
  • Cross the road, over to Barclays Bank – you will then be on the left-hand side of the High Road.
  • Turn right and walk along the High Road (You will pass Sainsbury Supermarket on your left) until you come to another set of traffic lights. 
  • This is the junction with Brondesbury.
  • Willesden Library is in front of you. 
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Tube and then part of the way by bus to the church
 
  • Travel on Jubilee Line to WILLESDEN GREEN. (a tip if you're coming fron Central London on the Metropoliatan Line, the purple Line, is that if you are on a train which is going to Finchley Road it is best to change to the Jubilee there rather than Baker Street)
  • Come out of the station and cross over the road to the bus stop. 
  • You can take No.260, No.266 or No.460 and ask for the Willesden Library stop.
  • Get off the bus at the Library stop and walk forward to the traffic light which is at the junction with Brondesbury on your left.
  • Willesden Library is in front of you.  
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Bus to the church (from the West End (No.98) or from an easterly direction (Cricklewood/Golders Green) (No.260, No.266, or No.460)
 
  • Whichever bus you are on, ask for the Willesden Library stop.
  • Get off the bus at the Library stop and walk forward to the traffic light which is at the junction with Brondesbury on your left.
  • Willesden Library is in front of you.  
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.

By Bus to the church (from a southerly direction (Victoria/Ladbroke Grove/Kensal Rise) (No.52 or No.302)
 
  • Ask for the Willesden Library stop.
  • Get off the bus at the Library stop which is alongside the Willesden Library – on your left. 
  • Walk forward to the front of the library.
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Bus to the church (from a westerly direction (Harlesden/Hammersmith/Shepherds Bush) (No.260, or No.266)
 
  • Ask for the Willesden Library stop which is just past Willesden Police Station at the junction of Huddlestone Road.
  • Get off the bus and walk forward to the traffic lights which are at the junction of the High Road and Brondesbury.
  • Cross over to the Library which is in front of you.
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road.  
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Bus to the church (from a north-westerly direction (Neasden) (No.302)
 
  • Ask for the Willesden Library stop.
  • Get off the bus at the Library stop which is opposite the Willesden Library
  • Walk forward to the traffic lights and cross over to the Library.
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • Walk up Grange Road (a short road which ends at Harlesden Road.) 
  • Turn right and cross Harlesden Road and walk along Harlesden Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Bus to the church (from Kilburn) (No. 206)
 
  • Ask for the Harlesden Road stop which is at the bottom of Chambers Lane.
  • Get off the bus.
  • Walk forward along Harlesden Road.
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
By Bus to the church (from Harlesden/Stonebridge) (No.206)
 
  • Ask for the Harlesden Road stop which is at the bottom of Chambers Lane. (You would have gone past the church on your left at the junction of Peter Avenue and Harlesden Road.
  • Get off the bus.
  • Cross Harlesden Road and walk back in the direction from which the bus came.
  • Walk around the right hand side of the Library and you will be in Grange Road. 
  • The next junction on your left will be Peter Avenue.
  • St Mary Magdalen is right in front of you on the left hand side of Harlesden Road and at the corner with Peter Avenue.
